Engine loses oil pressure and produces heavy smoke from the draft tube/valve housing when operating temperature exceeds 180°F. Issue occurs after extended use (hay raking). Existing oil leaks present in engine. Operator suspects worn rings or internal damage.

I'm Wallis 20 30 and I just typed out a introduction and then deleted it by accident anyways I am the owner of the Wallis tractors rusty numbat keeps putting up here and I have see. There is some interest in them so I decided to join up so I can answer any questions you may have on these tractors. I also own a few other tractors and would be more than happy to show and tell you all about them. I will tell you a bit about the burning Wallis tractor numbat has posted on here. I have got the engine turning over freely with good compression and I think I will have it running very soon I have to spend a attention on the magneto timing (once bitten twice shy) this is one of 2 Wallis tractors I own it was built in 1925/26 by the J.I Case plough works and was a very advanced tractor for its time ( rumley were still building oil pulls at this time ) it has an inline 4 ohv engine with pressurised oil system everything is contained within the bathtub frame . The transmission is a 2 speed East west mounted geabox with an oil immersed cone clutch. There is only one brake that acts on the belt pulley it is a wooden block and it only works when the tractor is in gear. The clutch/brake is a hand operated one and is very jumpy due to the cone clutch. It is a petrol start and runs on kerosene it has a water tank and water injection system to cool the cylinder when running on Kerro this works through the carby (not hooked up on mine they rot out) numbat once said it was the loudest thing he ever heard this is because the exhaust is a stub straight out of the ports under load they blow 4 ft of flame out the exhaust constantly. If any one wants to know more about this or the other 1928 Wallis 20-30 (built by Massey Harris ) or any of my other tractors ask away. And pester numbat to put pictures of smiler up before I take the fuel pump apart .

i got my Massey Harris fixed and went to go turn it on and it bent the governor gear's shaft and took our 4 teeth on the gear. I can buy a all brand new governor for this engine but it practically writes off my tractor, do any of you folks know where i can buy a new/used governor that ships to canada.

Just bought this (Year Unknown 1946-1952) Massey Harris 30 Standard, shes a little rough around the edges but im going to fix that
