Known Issues
Engine crapped out at 627 hours. Tractor would not run right from beginning, stumbling and dying after only 2-3 hours of operation. Exhibited multiple related failures including fuel delivery issues, starter failure, and knocking before complete engine failure.
Engine shut down repeatedly after 2-3 hours of operation, starting at 627 hours on a used tractor purchased with 600 hours. Multiple issues preceded total engine failure including fuel delivery problems, starter failure, and engine knocking. Kubota dealer determined engine was shot and required replacement.
Fuel delivery issues occurred during initial operation period, requiring water separator cleaning and fuel filter replacement.
Starter failed during the period of recurring engine operation issues.
Does anyone know of someone in Central Texas that can rebuild or has remanufactured V3307-CR-TE4 for a M6060? I purchased a used 2014 M6060 with 600 hours and the motor crapped out at 627 hours. It would not run right from the beginning. I could only get about 2-3 hours before the engine just stumbled and died. Since I have the tractor on my property that is 2 hours away, I was only able to work on it for 1 day a week (usually Saturdays). So each week I ended up with new problems that would limit me from using it, but each time it was for only 2-3 hours before it died. Each week I had issue after issue, starting with Fuel delivery (cleaned water separator, and installed new fuel filter), Blown out front tire, Starter failing and the last time it started making a knocking I just loaded it on the trailer. Last weekend I took it to the nearest Kubota dealer, and they said the motor is shot. Replacing the motor with new motor was $30,014. I only paid $28K for it. They did add that a new one was $56.2K. Yesterday I went down to talk to them, and they said rebuild would be $20-$25K at $140 an hour. So I am not really happy. I plan on talking to the used tractor dealer I bought it from, but they have an "As Is" clause in their receipt, and I dont think they will do anything. I am thinking about doing an engine swap on it with a remanufactured engine, or finding someone that can rebuild it for me after I remove it. Does anyone know of a good, remanufactured engine supplier or someone that can rebuild mine?
