Jd 1250 here. My mechanic said the hydraulic fluid cap was behind my seat but I can’t find it. Is this it? Between my legs in front of the seat? I am not familiar with tractors. We just got a farm and I’m doing my best. We had a leak so the cylinders were repacked and put back on but I need to check the levels. Do I need to do anything else before using it to move a small amount of gravel? We are down to the wire.
I’m back. My last post was about changing the hydro fluid which is now complete, along with the oil filter, hydro filter, fuel filters etc. I flushed the radiator - which had quite a bit of build up in it - and am contemplating running a chemical flush through it. My oil pressure light comes on after about 20 minutes of mowing or using the scoop for any kind of lifting. It is faint and lights up more whenever I gas it. I cannot for the life of me find a leak and I have changed all the filters so it can’t be a clog, right? I did have a minor amount of hydro fluid come out of the gear shift at first but that has not been an issue for a while. So, my question is what do I do next? Is there a sensor that I should check. Could the engine over heating be causing this somehow and I should check the thermostat? There’s no odd noises. I appreciate the help.
