Safety Recalls
On a small number of vehicles, the ground connection for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) blower motor may not have been secured properly. As a result, the defroster could stop working, and you may not be able to defog or defrost the windshield.

Known Issues
Holley carburetor leaks from the round gasket/jet service plate on the bottom. Issue recurred six months after rebuild kit replacement, indicating recurring gasket failure.
Hi, i've got a Ford 4000 and the PTO Lift control lever handle won't move at all. We took the top of the hydraulic case off to see if there was something inside with the various springs/arms that may have been blocked/stuck, but all move freely. is there a way to remove the shaft from the shaft housing and hydraulic case safely, and any woodruff keys etc that might be inside the shaft casing, or some other possible issue we're missing. it was working fine up to 6 months ago when it was parked last.
I'm trying to change the transmission filter on a 1966 Ford 4000 Select O Speed. I took out the four bolts that hold the filter cover on and the cover is now fully separated from the gasket by a millimeter or so all around. But I can't seem to get it to slide out. It kind of behaves like there is a bolt in the middle that needs to come out because it doesn't want to move on any of the sides. It's just kind of stuck in there and I'll I can do is move the cover back and forth 1 mm. I'm trying not to force it out at the moment for fear of screwing something up. Any thoughts?
Listing says ‘63 Ford 4000 but looks to me like a 5000. Leaking hydraulic oil and fuel from the fuel pump. Also the brakes and power steering need work he said. I can pick it up for $4k. Does run and operate. How intensive is the work needing done? I’ve been trying to find a machine with a frame mounted backhoe like this and finding anything under $10k near me has seemed impossible
Hi guys i've had problems with my starter on my '72 ford 4000. The starter feels like it doesn't engage properly since it makes a kind of "crrrrr" noise as if it was misaligned with the flywheel. Sometimes, it does align with the flywheel but then it's stuck and won't stop spinning until i disconnect the battery. Anyone got an idea of what it could be or advice on how to fix it? I'm sure it's got something to do with the bendix or the celenoid but i know jackshit on starters so i'm not sure what to do.
