Worm gear transmission problem - does anyone have any advice how to realign it, and get it “out” of gear I apologize for wrong terminology! Trying to help my dad. Thanks in advance!
Hi all, I’m not sure if this is the right sub for this so forgive me if I’m out of place. I rebuilt the engine on a belarus 572 that sat outside for about 15 years. The engine sounds great to my untrained ear. Everything seems to be working and I have since used it to move hay around the farm. The issue is whenever I give it throttle higher than an idle. There’s a pretty loud knock coming from under my feet. It doesn’t seem to be engine related. Whenever I pull the hydraulic remote to lift my 3pt the noise goes away. Then comes back again when I let go. We originally thought it was coming from the clutch housing and removed a cover underneath for a listen and to check for loose parts but couldn’t find anything. Any ideas? Could this possibly be cavitation in the hydraulic distribution unit?
I'm going to look at Belarus tomorrow. I've noticed it sitting in a field since last fall. Got tired of seeing it not move so I stopped and asked. The old man broke his back and can't climb in and out of it anymore. He claims it's a 100 hp. He couldn't remember the model. It's 4x4 with a front end loader and cab. Any thoughts on stuff to watch out for? He said I have complete freedom to take my truck in the field and tinker with it/get it running. If I get it running and I like it he said he'll let it go for 3k
Hello, I have a question about the Russian tractor MTZ 82. The axial washer located on the first main bearing on the cabin side has broken. I found the pieces in the crankcase and now the question is how to remove the main bearing, that on the bearing there is something like a semicircle attached with 2 bolts and the crankcase is glued on top of that. The questions: how to remove the bearing and the semicircle and how can I put the new axial washer in place without removing the crankshaft or engine. I am also attaching a photo of the broken one
From an old ussr tractor from the late 70s to fully kitted out. 78 Mtz t40, known as belarus 420 an (an=small r wheel) my wife grand father bought it new. Restored during covid. Added a ussr cab, diesel heater, loader with sub frame, and an extra hydraulic valve for it. A hand full to drive, especially if you don't know your way around. But will climp up a tree if the tree could hold it. We need more snow to really push it out.
